My Story

Moving from the UK to Canada means navigating two completely different financial systems — different tax rules, different investment accounts, different credit systems, different everything. I've lived that transition firsthand, which means I understand the confusion newcomers feel when they arrive and try to make sense of it all. Over the past eight years I've worked professionally in financial services across both countries, in wealth management, pensions, and taxation. But the experience I'm most proud of is simpler than that: I've built genuine financial security on a modest income, without relying on a high salary or a perfect career path. That's not a theory — it's what I've actually done.

Why I Do This

Most financial advice assumes you already have a comfortable income, a stable career, and a straightforward life. But most people don't have that — and the advice that works for someone earning six figures doesn't always translate to someone building from the ground up. I started Smart Money Solutions because I wanted to offer something different: honest, practical guidance that meets people where they actually are. Not where a textbook assumes they should be.

I'm a financial coach who has navigated real financial challenges — moving countries, building wealth carefully on a modest income, and learning what actually moves the needle versus what just sounds good. I combine eight years of professional financial services experience with the kind of lived knowledge that only comes from doing it yourself.
